How to Use Delhi Metro Smart Card

In order to be able to use the smart card, the traveller is required to register by downloading the ‘Autope’ app, available on Google Play store for Android users and Apple store for IPhone users. The user can also register at Autope’s mobile site autope.in. The next step involveslinkingyour e-wallet, bank or credit card to the smart card. The respective app will cut a nominal fee as convenience fee for each transaction. Designed by developed by Anduril Technologies Private Limited in association with DMRC and NPCI, ‘Autope’ smart cards are supported by auto-debit facility for recurring payments launched recently by the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI). It enables the customers to set up UPI Mandate for their metro payments. The new smart cards issued by Autope will also have an auto top-up feature that will automatically recharge the card with Rs. 200 at the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) entry gate, in case the money in the card is less than Rs. 100.
