With ‘Photo Maps’, users can see their pictures on a map on their devices that have this photo-sharing app installed. Made to enhance the browsing experience, this new version of Instagram offers more than 80 million people a unique and fun way to browse photos on a map. Instagram 3.0, available now for iOS and Android, has new layouts that are fresh and familiar for easy use. This application also lets users see other users’ maps from their profiles. As quoted in a blog by Instagram, “With every major release, we pick a theme – and for this one we’ve focused on the browsing experience. We’ve introduced a new and unique way to browse your photos and others’ photos on a map, which means you’re no longer constrained to browsing through page after page of photos.” Photo Maps is designed to give users an ultimate surfing experience. With this app, users can browse and see large collection of pictures. After launching Photo Map, this app also offers users a choice to geotag each photo uploaded to insert it into the map going forward. With Instagram 3.0, users will find it easy to browse photos all through the app. Users profiles, the Explore tab, hashtag, and location pages will display larger grid photos. The app will automatically load more photos at the bottom of each page for infinite scrolling. The fresh release also includes other style improvements such as tweaked screens. It comes with performance enhancements to make users’ overall Instagram experience much speedier and fresh. “We’ve also worked hard on updating all the screens in our app to be more visually consistent and polished. You’ll notice new layouts throughout the app that feel fresh, yet familiar. Our engineers have also been hard at work making sure that the browsing experience is as fast as possible,” wrote Instagram in its blog. The soon-to-be-owned-by-Facebook company said that Instagram 3.0 version also has an added feature to report inappropriate comments. The photo-sharing app has even simplified the process so that users get less spam.
