Gionee F8 Neo comes with a 5.45-inch LCD display. It packs a 3000 mAh battery and offers a storage configuration of 2GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. Moreover, it offers an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. Additionally, it also provides various trending features including Panorama, Face Beauty mode, Night mode, Burst Mode, QR code, Slow Motion, Timelapse, and Face Unlock. Furthermore, Gionee also claims that its new budget phone also offers an “Eye Comfort” feature making reading easier and more comfortable even in dim light. Gionee’s New Budget Phones: Gionee Max vs F8 Neo
Notably, the latest Gionee budget phone has come within months of Gionee Max launch. What’s even more interesting is that both are available at exactly the same price in India. Gionee Max is also currently priced at Rs 5499 on Flipkart. While Gionee Max offered a larger 6.1-inch screen size, Gionee F8 Neo comes with a 5.45-inch screen. However, both offer LCD display. Additionally, while the duo shares the same 5-megapixel selfie camera specs, Max model offers a better 13-megapixel rear camera as well as a larger 5000 mAh battery. Yet, its wide range of additional perks like camera modes, face unlocks features, etc. may prove to be a significant selling point for F8 Neo. Nevertheless, even with two competing budget phones, Gionee is likely to be the ultimate gainer. HT Tech had also cited a recent Flipkart report stating that it has observed a significant rise in the demand for budget smartphones post the pandemic. Pardeep Jain, Managing Director, JIPL has also noted in his statement, “We are confident that this device will add on to the festive mood and offer the much-needed delight to consumers seeking for affordable yet super quality smartphones in the recent times.” For the uninitiated, JIPL is the firm that manages Gionee operations in India.
