If we go back, we know that Idea has been stronger with a dedicated user base in the tier-II and tier-III towns in India. Vodafone, on the other hand, has always been popular amongst the youth in the urban regions, including tier-I towns. But, the tariff wars between Reliance Jio and BhartiAirtel and Vodafone and Idea has had a great impact on the businesses of the latter two, thus causing a steep decline in the revenue in the last few years.
